You Mr. Patton , you are the greatest Mental ray master ever, thank you for sharing all the shaders and knowledge about mental ray, i miss the old website you had.
Thanks for the kind words. The old site was just that, old. The new version will hopefully make it easier for me to update/add stuff later. Either way, both versions clearly illustrate my lack of talent when it comes to web-design.
hey Jeff very nice blog very very usefull mentalray sources thank you so much for informations and sharing your tips the parti volume pdf it's verry hepfull. i use maya but it's the same option only a .mat shader conversion for maya is missing for i going crazy !! nice again dude

i'm a 3d artist from portugal and i'm vrey motivated to do my render in the future with mentalray, but 'ive a doubt about the interiors workflow, more about the lighting. Can you help a little?
Hello Mr Patton.
Thanks for sharing, It was a pleasant surprise to find your site and being able to download the files, which makes it easier to check the material and lighting settings...You wrote, I quote '.....However I'm keeping them around (for now) for people that may still be using 3dsmax6-8......' I am sure a lot of people, like myself, are working with 'old' max versions. Personally I think that even 'old' versions are sophisticated enough to produce the material you want....So if you don' t mind me saying, add all the files you want, but do not remove the 'old' ones...they are highly appreciated.
That is it, again, thanks for sharing.
