I have a few more HDR's & back-plates that I was planning on using FryRender & Maxwell render with...but photo comps seem rather tricky with these unbiased type renderers. Looks like I'll have to render multiple passes to get a matte/shadow material with both of them and then composite it all together. Oh well, I better do some more reading to make sure I'm not overlooking something with either.
Man those new renders kick butt!
Also nice to see you showing what a broad knowledge base you have, I've known for a while your skills apply to more than just Mental Ray, why not let everyone see what you can do
Thanks for the comments. Todd, I'm just trying to follow in your footsteps & be more versatile. I don't want to be labeled a one trick pony. Soon, I'll tackle my modeling issues with the aid of your book.
I've started the material conversion process of the scenes in both FryRender & Maxwell and so far they look great in a studio setup. However, I still have to figure out the best way to approach a compositing exercise like this with FryRender & Maxwell.
