Hey Jeff-
I watched the new video demo of Vue7 and almost peed in my pants. LOL-it looks kick a**! I've been trying to get a copy at work for the past year. The corporate tape is so thick to cut through...
First off, thank you so much for sharing your knowledge in such an unselfish way. I have started my trek onto learning MR, instead of resorting to third party plugins like Vray, since at my work place I was told: If 3ds Max brings it's own internal render engine, we're not paying for a third party one, so learn it, and thus, you are one of the online information resources that have helped me greatly in this!
So thank you!
I also wanted to ask about the Daniel Rind's shader you mention for your diamond test render. Where can I get a hold of this shader, and is it made for 3ds Max or Maya?
The .mi declaration of a shader may need to be modified to make the shader more user friendly with 3ds Max or Maya, etc., but most of the time the actual shader code will be valid regardless of the host application.
JeffPatton, I always came here to see your beautiful artwork and your material/rendering great knowledge. This time, I decide to be gentlemanly and leave cheers for you :-)
Recently i tried to follow Your advice and unhide "Architectural Round Corners Bump" (post on October 10, 2007) I failed actually!. It seems i did everything correctly, more than once, but still nothing. It's possible that max 2009 does not support this shader?
