I'm curious. Thru all of the websites with forums that I've seen you post your work or examples, I noticed that you've used varies of render engines like FryRender, Vray....etc. But you seem to post all of your personal works on your portiflio that were rendered with Mental Ray engine. None of them are rendered with other engines. So it seems like Mental Ray is your top choice of all render engines. Why is that? Is it because Mental Ray is the first render engine you've learned to use before or during the time the other render engines even exist?
nwiz25 - Thank you sir!
Jedi-Juice - Thanks. No doubt that I need all the luck I can get.
Pazur - Thank you very much! Too bad I don't have an artistic eye like you!
SmokingHot2003 - mental ray wasn't my first renderer. Back in the day I used scanline and my favorite was Ghost, which eventually became Brazil R/S. Ahhhh, those were some fun times. I remember being in awe seeing Neil Blevins' test renders using Ghost.
But I digress; Today I primarily use mental ray because for the most part it does what I need. I also need to stay on top of it if I'm to keep offering training on it. Personally speaking, I think I do need to start adding some of my Vray/FryRender/Maxwell/Brazil stuff to my gallery. As it stands now, I fear potential employers may view me as a 'one trick pony'....and I can't afford that (literally).
on one of your charette renders over at vizdepot, i noticed you photoshopped some grass into one of them. you also gave the name of the person who provided you with the grass image, any chance of sharing the image or at least a link to where i might find it. now entering the photoshop for post production phase
