entry: Fantastic tip for SkyPortal Lights! Thank You!!!
Just a question: I found only a good way to render the carpet with big fur, using Max's hair and fur with big root and big tip and using the basic shader(no way for me with any mr shader...) with FG+GI. But it takes much render time (but the result in really great) Your Grass-o-matic Carpet is fast to render?

Thank you!

entry: I don't think you'll see a huge difference in render times between grass-O-matic and using the 3ds Max built in hair solution in geometry mode. For some tips on using the built-in hair solution and mental ray, check out Zap's blog entry here:

entry: Hi! I finally got around to paying for CGS and now starting to build up my portfolio [now that I can afford it!]. Just wanted to say I used your guides and fourm topics while I was in school trying to finish my final project as they were extremely helpful. Thanks for the research and time you put in!
