PARTI...woohooo!!!
Or rather, Parti Volume.

I've received several emails, and seen several forum posts from people wanting some assistance/guidance on using the parti volume shader(s). Most say the "cryptic" documentation that is included with Max on this shader doesn't really help them easily understand how to use it. So, I thought I'd throw together some makeshift documentation to try and make learning the Parti Volume shaders a little easier.

This will be a two part document.
Part 1: Parti Volume Camera shader
Part 2: Parti Volume shader & Parti Volume Photon shader

I completed part 1 last night, and you can download it here:

It includes links to some sample files.

Please let me know if things like this document prove to be helpful or not.

Architectural Materials
A while back I started creating a mental ray collection of A&D materials based on the architectural bitmaps that ship with 3dsmax. There are 80 "architectural" A&D materials in this collection.

Note: Unzip the .mat file into your materiallibraries sub-folder (or wherever you want), then open it with the material editor.
